Challenge
This project consisted of a full gut and remodel of the eleventh floor of Chicago’s Willis Tower. Our biggest challenge on this project was staying within the timeline provided so that the current occupants could continue to do business. The project had several phases and this was a very high profile and an extremely busy location, so deliveries had to be made on time or we could potentially fall behind, there was no room for error.
Solution
Oakwood’s solution was to make sure that we provided our highly-skilled workmen on site and that our foreman was kept updated daily on the schedule and the deliveries that were being made to this location. By having daily morning communication between the General Contractor, our project manager, and our foreman the project ran smoothly.
Result
The end result to this project was a very happy tenant, general contractor and employee’s who were able to keep working throughout the remodel and now have a an extremely beautiful space to work in. This project was completed on time and within the budget that was provided.
