Jewel Osco Self Check

Challenge
Oakwood performs quite a few specialized “rollout projects” for the Jewel-Osco grocery chain. We recently completed removing several of the self-checkouts and installing their new quick lanes at over 20 plus locations throughout the Chicagoland area. The challenge for us on this roll-out was the timing, these all had to be removed and the new counters installed with a three-day time frame and without disturbing the flow of business in each location.
Solution
In order to get all these location’s complete within the customers timeframe we assigned teams of carpenters that could go to the stores as needed over the three days to get the task done. Working in teams provided each location with a seamless transition and the turnaround that the customer needed.
Result
We worked side-by-side with the electricians and floor installers, and the team from Jewel-Osco. The end result of this “roll out” project is that we succeeded and completed all the stores required in the time frame needed and the customer was satisfied with the outcome.
